We believe that essential business support should be accessible to entrepreneurs at all levels. That’s why we’ve implemented a sliding scale pricing model based on your business’s operating gross margin. The lower your margin, the greater your discount—ensuring our services remain within reach for small businesses that need them most. If your startup is not yet generating any revenue, then the “Minimum Cost” figure is what it will cost you. As your business starts generating revenue and becomes profitable, the amount of the grant funds will decrease linearly until your gross margins have reached the multiplier target. As an example, for a solopreneur startup, your startup will need to be making over $9,000 per month in gross margin to no longer qualify for grant funds at the Foundation Tier.

As a public benefit corporation, Utopian Help is committed to making a difference in the lives of small business owners. We believe God has called us to support and uplift other small business owners through our services. The comprehensive services included within the Utopian Accelerate packages allow business owners to focus on the core parts of their business and hand-off the administrative burden to our team. These services are essential, but by their very nature, they are not cheap to purchase or provide. We are providing a grant program to help offset the costs for these services as part of our public mission.
The maximum grant amount varies by tier level and is calculated as a total cost for the service. For example, at the Foundation level the maximum grant amount is 80%. The service cost for a 2 person organization on Foundation is $1,090 so the maximum grant amount is 80% of $1,090 which is $872. Organizations with a $0 gross margin (revenue – cost of goods sold) will receive the entire grant. For each $1 in gross margin, the grant amount is reduced by the gross margin factor. For a customer at the Growth Tier, the factor is $0.10, so for each $1 increase in gross margin, the grant is reduced by $0.10. Continuing the example, if a Growth organization with 5 people (service cost $3,730) has generated $20,000 in gross margin for a month, then the grant amount for the next month would be reduced from $3,037.50 to $1,384.00 based on their increase in their revenues. This math reflects our efforts to make the service pricing match where your business is at financially.
To help your organization explore both the service costs and how the grant savings work, we have developed a cost estimator to takes the factors into account. Access it here.
